Mexican Institute of Project Management
The Mexican Institute of Project
Management (IMDP) is a Mexican non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the discipline of Project,
Program, and Portfolio Management. Its mission focuses on developing standards, certifications, research,
professional training, and knowledge generation that contribute to raising the quality of projects both
in Mexico and internationally. Through an open community of professionals, academic institutions, companies,
and public organizations, IMDP promotes the professionalization of project management as a strategic
element for economic, scientific, technological, and social development.

One of the Institute's
greatest contributions has been the creation and evolution of the Project Management Handbook (VDP),
a standard developed through the collaboration of national and international experts. This work led to
the publication of several Mexican Standards related to Project Management and to the recognition, by
the Ministry of Economy, of the expert committee coordinated by the IMDP as the body responsible for
national standardization in this area. Currently, the VDP is one of the most comprehensive bodies of
knowledge developed in Spanish, and its publication in English is forthcoming, integrating predictive,
agile, hybrid, and continuous improvement approaches.
In addition
to its standardization activities, the IMDP maintains a robust academic offering that includes training
programs, professional certifications, diplomas, master's degrees, and doctorates specializing in Project
Management. It also develops research initiatives, working groups, conferences, innovation programs,
and technical committees, promoting the participation of universities, research centers, business organizations,
government agencies, and specialists from various countries. This combination of knowledge generation,
training, and certification makes the Institute a Latin American leader in the field. The IMDP's track
record is characterized by its ability to coordinate highly complex projects involving multiple national
and international stakeholders, manage technical consensus processes, organize academic and professional
activities of global scope, and develop collaborative platforms for specialized communities. The accumulated
experience in creating standards, organizing conferences, certifying professionals, and fostering collaboration
between academia, government, and industry demonstrates an organizational structure geared toward strategic
planning, risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
In
this context, the Beyond Health & Techmedic – Global Business Summit Expo & Congress represents a natural
evolution of IMDP's institutional capabilities. The event integrates an international exhibition, a scientific
and technological congress, business meetings, training programs, keynote addresses, and networking activities
among companies, academic institutions, government agencies, and research centers. The project management
standard promoted by the Institute provides the necessary framework to effectively coordinate logistics,
operations, and the management of sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, attendees, and strategic partners,
minimizing risks and ensuring the achievement of objectives. IMDP's experience in designing international
standards, coordinating multidisciplinary professional communities, organizing international initiatives,
and training specialists provides solid support for the successful execution of Beyond Health & Techmedic.
Its approach based on governance, planning, control, quality assurance and continuous improvement provides
the organizational capacity needed to develop a world-class event that fosters innovation, technology
transfer, international collaboration and the generation of business opportunities in the health, science
and technology sectors.
