He is the founder and president of the Mexican Institute of Project Management (IMDP) and currently serves as President of the Organizing Committee of Beyond Health & Techmedic – Global Business Summit Expo & Congress (BH&T), an international initiative aimed at promoting the convergence of health, science, technology, innovation, and business development through collaboration among academia, industry, government, and international organizations.

Marcos Orozco
From the beginning of his professional career, Marcos Orozco participated in the development of Biomechanics in Mexico, training as one of the first specialists in this discipline under the mentorship of Dr. Enrique Bucio at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He later joined the UNAM Science and Sports project, a pioneering scientific dissemination initiative that years later evolved into the current Universum, UNAM Science Museum. At the same time, he collaborated with the Faculty of Medicine, particularly in the areas of Research and Postgraduate Studies in Sports Medicine, where he developed various research projects in biomechanics, physiology and medical sciences, the results of which were presented at multiple national and international conferences.
His career in technological innovation continued when he joined Silicon Graphics (SGI), a world leader in high-performance computing, where he participated in projects related to medical imaging, virtual reality, and augmented reality, collaborating with research groups at Stanford University when these technologies were just beginning to emerge in the late 20th century. This experience allowed him to integrate advanced visualization and graphics processing technologies into applications geared toward the healthcare sector, contributing to the introduction of innovative tools for diagnosis, education, and medical research.
Throughout his career, he has also spearheaded projects combining satellite imaging, artificial intelligence based on neural networks, data analysis, and digital technologies applied to healthcare. These initiatives led to solutions developed for outpatient surgery hospitals and other clinical settings, integrating decision support tools, image analysis, and optimization of care processes. This interdisciplinary approach has characterized his professional activity, linking scientific research with technological development and the management of highly complex projects.
As founder of the Mexican Institute of Project Management (IMDP), Marcos Orozco has led the creation of the Project Management Handbook (VDP), a standard developed with the participation of specialists from various countries, as well as certification, research, and professional development programs. His experience integrating multidisciplinary teams, coordinating international initiatives, and promoting innovation forms the basis of his leadership of Beyond Health & Techmedic (BH&T), an event designed to become an international benchmark for connecting science, medicine, technology, entrepreneurship, and investment, fostering collaboration among researchers, healthcare professionals, companies, universities, and public and private organizations.
